Launching a Centralized Digital & Technology Organization

The Challenge
A global QSR company centralized its digital and technology (D&T) teams into a shared services model to quickly and efficiently deliver innovations across all portfolio brands in a highly competitive market. As a newly formed D&T team creating a lot of change, the organization needed a partner to help drive change management and communication best practices while also executing key priorities.
The Approach
Ripplea partnered with D&T leadership to bring structure and clarity to the complex, fast-moving transformation. We focused on providing solutions for the areas creating the most friction. By providing clarity, tools, and training to support the people side of change, we enabled smoother adoption of the operating model at a manageable pace across a complex enterprise.

Comprehensive change calendar

Built a holistic view of all changes happening across the organization that showed when key initiatives were happening, how they overlapped and which teams were most impacted.

Change calendar created a “source of truth” for the change leadership team, corporate communications and others, enabling better decision-making (e.g. pausing changes due to change fatigue or adjusting timing to minimize business disruption).

Process design

Met with stakeholders to map out a simplified new role approval and hiring process so leaders and managers understood how decisions were made.
outcome
Beyond delivering the requested role-approval and hiring process, we created a process-design playbook that equips leaders to identify gaps and build their own processes, establishing a sustainable solution within the new matrixed structure.

Leading Through Change Training

Created a “Leading Through Change” manager playbook to help leaders communicate changes, set expectations and support teams through ongoing disruption.
outcome
Manager training efforts were so well received, they inspired a three-part in-person leadership training series as part of the company’s upskilling for all leaders.
